AiFoodNews Payments & Refunds – Made for Home Cooks
Welcome to AiFoodNews – your AI‑powered kitchen assistant.
Because we help you decide what to cook, how to cook it, and how to shop for it, we also want our payments and refunds to feel as clear as a good recipe.
This page explains how you pay, what you get, and when we refund if something goes wrong.
1. What You’re Paying For
When you subscribe to AiFoodNews, you’re not just buying “software time” – you’re buying a smarter kitchen experience. Depending on your plan, you may get for example:
- AI‑generated recipes based on the ingredients you actually have at home
- Region‑specific cuisine recommendations (e.g. Sichuan, Cantonese, Indian, Mediterranean)
- Smart substitutions when you’re missing an ingredient
- Step‑by‑step cooking timelines and shopping lists
- Nutrition‑aware tweaks (less oil, more protein, kid‑friendly, etc.)
- Community features, such as sharing and promoting your creations
All of these features are powered by credits / membership access shown on our pricing page. Prices and bundles (for example a “Weekend Hotpot Pack” or “Busy Weeknight Plan”) are clearly displayed before you pay.
2. Payments
2.1 Payment Methods
We currently support mainstream online payments (such as credit/debit cards and major third‑party payment platforms). Available methods may differ by region and will be shown at checkout.
2.2 Payment Flow
- Create an account and choose a plan that matches how often you cook.
- Confirm the plan details (price, duration, credit amount).
- Complete payment on the secure checkout page.
- Once payment succeeds, your credits / membership are activated automatically and you can start generating recipes immediately.
2.3 Invoices
If you need an invoice (for example as a content creator, restaurant, or studio), email us at [email protected] with your order details and invoicing info.
We usually issue electronic invoices within 7 working days.
3. Our Refund Philosophy – “The Dish Should Be Cookable”
AiFoodNews is a creative tool: every click may generate different recipes or images. For fairness, we do not refund just because you “don’t like the taste” of a particular idea.
But if our service truly fails you on the technical side, we’ll make it right.
3.1 When We Generally Do Refund
You can request a refund (full or partial, depending on usage) in situations like:
-
Technical failure on our side
- Our system cannot be used normally due to server errors, serious bugs, or payment glitches;
- You report the issue, and we fail to fix it within 24 hours;
- Example: every time you try to generate a recipe, you only see an error page and credits are deducted or you cannot access your paid plan at all.
-
You paid but truly didn’t cook with AiFoodNews
- Within 7 days of purchase you have not used any paid features (no recipe generation, no image creation, no credit consumption, etc.);
- In this case we can cancel the order and refund the remaining amount, usually with a small handling fee (up to 5% for payment channel costs).
-
Clear mis‑billing
- Duplicate charges for the same order;
- Obvious pricing errors that we confirm as system mistakes.
-
Other situations required by local law
- If applicable laws where you live give you additional refund rights, we will follow those.
3.2 When We Generally Do Not Refund
To keep the kitchen fair for everyone, we normally cannot refund in the following cases:
-
You have already used paid features – for example:
- Generated recipes, menus, or shopping lists;
- Generated dish images;
- Spent credits on community promotion or other premium features.
(These are like ingredients you’ve already cooked – we can’t “uncook” them.)
-
You simply changed your mind after real use, for reasons such as:
- “I don’t like the recipes it gave me”;
- “I used most of the credits but now I don’t need them”;
- “I only wanted to try one or two dishes, now I’m done.”
-
Issues caused by your own environment, for example:
- Unstable network, device failures, or browser/plugin conflicts;
- Account sharing, disclosure, or misuse by others.
-
Requests made after the refund window given above (for example, long after the 7‑day no‑usage period, or after substantial credit usage).
4. How to Request a Refund
If you believe your situation fits the “We generally do refund” rules above, please:
- Send an email to [email protected] with subject
Refund Request – AiFoodNews.
- Include:
- Your AiFoodNews account email;
- Order ID and payment time;
- A short description of the problem (screenshots are very helpful, e.g. error pages, failed recipe generations);
- An estimate of how many credits / which recipes you have already used, if any.
- We normally review your request within 3–5 working days.
- If approved, we refund to your original payment method. The actual arrival time depends on your bank or payment provider.
Each order can be evaluated once for refund. If we cannot approve your request, we will explain the reason clearly by email.
5. Updates to This Policy
As AiFoodNews adds new cuisines, regions, and cooking features, we may update this policy from time to time.
Any changes will be published on this page and will take effect from the date of publication. If you continue to use AiFoodNews after updates, it means you accept the new version.
If you have any questions or suggestions about this policy, please contact us at [email protected] – we’re happy to discuss, just like we tweak a recipe together.
